Mac OS 8.1 CD-ROM is out; AppleTalk bug fixed

The Mac OS 8.1 CD is out. As predicted, it does not exactly contain a full Installer for Mac OS 8.1. Instead, it contains the full Installer for Mac OS 8.0 and the Mac OS 8.1 Update. These are automatically used in combination to achieve the effect of an 8.1 full install. The CD also contains disk images for both a PowerPC and 68040 version of Disk Tools. And it includes Disk Copy 6.2. Finally, a couple of readers report that the CD fixes the bug in the Mac OS 8.0 CD that prevented booting from the CD when AppleTalk was off.
