Mac OS 8.1 and NetDoubler: Asante posts a solution

Regarding our report last time of a conflict between NetDoubler and Mac OS 8.1:

Asante now has a web page, called "Important Information for Mac OS 8.1 Users," that confirms this. As an interim solution, you can use "a special version of NetDoubler (beta) 1.5.1B2 that works with Mac OS 8.1 by temporarily switching off acceleration while you perform a Finder copy from Server to Client."
