The biggest new feature in Apple's updated MacBook Pro laptops is the Touch Bar, a slim touch-enabled second screen that lives above the keyboard. In our initial review of the Touch Bar version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, we said it was potentially very useful, but for the moment, it was locked to Apple-created apps such as Safari, Photos and Messages.
Support for major apps such as Photoshop and Microsoft Office is coming soon, but popular image editing program Pixelmator is adding Touch Bar support now, thanks to a new update.
In a blog post Tuesday, the Pixelmator team says: "The Touch Bar adds a completely new way to interact with Pixelmator for Mac. You can use it keep your favorite tools within reach, set all kinds of useful tool options, and more."
The update, called Pixelmator 3.6 Cordillera, is available now in the macOS app store for $29.
