Losing its edge: mobiBLU Cube 2

At first I was afraid I was petrified, kept thinking I could never live without corners on my sides, but then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong, and I grew strong

In an age where excess blubber is airbrushed from the covers of leading fashion magazines, and models' teeth decay slowly from the purging of dreaded fat, mobiBLU is actively adding curves to its posterchild.

The original DAH-1500i -- aka the Cube -- had sharp edges, but this new one has rounded ones. A year on from the Cube's debut, mobiBLU has finally got this shape nailed. No more nasty cuts and bruises from the harsh perpendicular strokes of the original design, instead a seamless filleted cube.

The buttons on the Cube -- now the Cube 2, or Cube squared -- are also changed, while the interface remains essentially unchanged, according to dapreview. A two-colour OLED screen knocks some sense into the old monochrome effort and is pretty much a guaranteed basis for securing you a date.

Voluptuous it may now be, but the Cube 2 is the same 18g and 28mm cubed as the original. The release date remains unknown, as does the price, the availability and the smell.

Capacities are expected to reach the sub-orbital level of up to 2GB. Make a little Cube 2-shaped space in your life now. -CS
