The SurfMan Cordless controller is a three-button, thumb-operated mouse that allows users to browse Web pages sans cord. The device uses low-frequency radio transmissions to relay commands, allowing users to surf from several feet away. The device can also be used with the Cordless Mouseman without the need for a second receiver and serial port.
Other features include a special CyberJump grid for Windows 95 versions. By clicking on the middle button, users pop open a resizable box with six Netscape Navigator shortcuts and two Windows commands for faster surfing. Once the cursor is placed on a command, the device automatically launches the shortcut without clicking.
SurfMan Cordless will be available for Windows 3.x and Windows 95 machines with 386 processors or greater, open serial or mouse port and CD-ROM player. Retail price is set at $99; no shipment date was announced.
