Media conglomerate Belo plans to announce on Monday that it's adding content from its various TV stations across the country to a mobile content service run by Weathernews, which provides weather content to over 1.5 million paying mobile subscribers.

Weathernews' WNI Network delivers personalized local video programming for weather, news, sports and traffic directly to subscribersÂ’ cell phones. Local content from certain Belo television stations will be available through WNIÂ’s "LiveLocal" mobile application offered on major US wireless carriers for $4.99 per month.

Belo stations in Dallas, Houston, Seattle/Tacoma and Phoenix will be part of the initial rollout in early 2006, with stations in other Belo markets to follow.
