Liberate Technologies said it has integrated Macromedia's Flash Player into its interactive TV software. Liberate said the streaming media company's player will enable developers to create applications and graphics for interactive TV on its software. Such applications include interactive programming guides and games.
San Carlos, Calif.-based Liberate provides the software that enables people to play games or purchase products via interactive TV. The company said last June that its software was in use in more than 1.5 million set-top boxes as of May 31.
