Liberate, which develops interactive TV software, said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to provide services to the third-largest cable operator in England, Omne Communications. Omne will start distributing set-top boxes with Liberate's software in December. San Carlos, Calif.-based Liberate also has distribution agreements with NTL and Telewest--the top two cable operators in England.
Subscribers to Omne's new interactive features will initially receive services such as electronic program guides, online video games and e-mail.
