LG Style-i Bluetooth gadget
LG Style-i Bluetooth gadget
As we were perusing the new cell phones that LG announced at CTIA (see our line show for the full details), we noticed a curious-looking device that looks like a cell phone but is small and slender like a pen. When we inquired further, we discovered that it's the LG Style-i, a slim Bluetooth accessory (4.33 by 0.87 by 0.55 inches; 0.79 ounce) that acts like a cell phone "remote." It has all the standard cell phone features: a dial pad, Talk and End keys, volume and mute buttons, an OLED display for caller ID, and even a headset jack. The idea is to pair the Style-i with your cell phone so that you can leave your phone in your bag and just use the tiny Style-i to make your calls (the Style-i has a clip that you can attach to your shirt). An interesting idea, to be sure, but it seems horribly unnecessary, considering the ubiquitous presence of Bluetooth headsets and the fact that today's cell phones are small enough to be easily portable.
