LG's next flagship phone, the G2, is likely to hit Australia in November, where it'll be an Optus exclusive.

Until then, LG has produced a video designed to show off the phone's 13-megapixel camera in style.

A team used a weather balloon to get the LG G2 to around 30km high, well into the stratosphere. The G2 captured images the whole way, with LG using the video to hype the optical image stabilisation and low-light functions of the camera.

The G2 has a 5.2-inch in-plane switching (IPS) screen with full HD resolution. The rear camera takes video in 1080p, and, as mentioned, the optical image stabilisation keeps everything shake free.
