LG is set to bring a Windows-based tablet to market alongside rivals Asus and MSI, with components pinched from the current generation of netbooks.

Looks like Windows 7-based slates are following in the footsteps of netbooks, with internal components cloned from each other, such as the Asus Eee Pad and MSI Wind-Pad.

The LG UX10 sports a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, 1GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. To round out the feature set, this slate also comes with a 1.3-megapixel webcam, SD memory card reader and mini-HDMI port.

What worries us is the 7200mAh battery. Though this will probably give the device great battery life, it may also increase the weight to non-slate-like levels. Still, it's best to withhold judgement till we see one in the flesh.
