A black and white print-out on Pocketdroid has revealed what appears to be a new LG smartphone, sitting one rung down from the premium LG G2. It may be a Korea-only launch for now, or it might be released worldwide alongside the upcoming LG G2 mini.

A source has told Pocketdroid that the new phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel camera sensor, a large 3140mAh battery and a 5.5-inch 1080p display. It will also apparently supportLTE-Advanced technology, meaning theoretically faster download and upload speeds over 4G.

The smartphone market is set to heat up in the next few months as new models are announced, some of which will use Qualcomm's new super-fast Snapdragon 805 processor. Samsung's Galaxy S5 is likely to arrive in the first quarter of the year, with a unibody metal shell to improve durability.

We'll probably see more info on LG's new Android smartphone, along with some more announcements, at CES in January or Mobile World Congress in February.
