LG KG220 and KG225: If the Easter Bunny made mobiles

It's Easter soon and the Easter Bunny is getting ready to dish out thousands of chocolate eggs to all you lucky people. For those of you not fortunate enough to be on his delivery route, or if you who don't crave the milky, smooth texture and unique taste of chocolate goodness, there is an alternative -- a technological alternative, that is.
LG has just launched two new phones called the KG220 and the KG225 and if you wrapped them in tin foil and put them in a basket, you might think they were made by Cadburys. Both phones have clamshell form factors and feature smooth surfaces and curved edges. Unfortunately, that's where the creamy comparison ends. These are budget eggs with budget specs and underneath their Easter-friendly design is an entry-level filling.
Both models have a 0.3-megapixel camera with flash, a 65k colour screen, voice recorder, WAP browser and only weigh 70g. However, they don't have Bluetooth or infrared and only come with 4MB of internal memory without an expandable memory slot. These eggs are definitely hollow, but they do look very stylish, so if you aren't a feature freak then these small and light phones will make a decent Easter egg replacement.
The KG225 is currently available in black on the Orange network and the KG220 is available in black with a silver trim on T-Mobile. They're both free on monthly tariffs and around £100 on pay as you go. Expect a full review soon. -AL
