LG KF700: The phone that offers a three-way

LG has unveiled its new KF700 handset and with three input methods, it's just dying to be touched -- delight in its touchscreen, keypad and scroll wheel

Nate Lanxon Special to CNET News

For those of you for whom touching is more a pleasure than a chore, LG may have something up its corporate sleeve to tease you. The just-announced KF700 is a stylish new handset with not one, not two, but three touch-related input methods. It has a 76mm (3-inch) touch-sensitive screen, an alpha-numeric keypad and a shortcut dial. But that's not all.

It's also a delightfully capable handset, and visually akin to the Prada when the keypad is stowed behind the screen -- "No bad thing," you might say. Inside there's a 3-megapixel camera, HSDPA (3.5G) connectivity, full Web-browsing functionality, video playback and full access to Google's blogs, email, maps and YouTube services.

It'll be out in mid-March for an undisclosed price, as it'll be network-dependent. Our man on the scene, Andrew Lim, just fingered, prodded and squeezed his way through the KF700 out in Barcelona. That'd be the shortcut dial then.

And around the back is a camera and a physical scroll wheel.
