LeTocq too optimistic on PDAs

A News.com readers says analyst Chris LeTocq paints too rosy a picture for iPaq-like handheld devices.

LeTocq too optimistic on PDAs

In response to the June 19 Perspectives column by Chris LeTocq, "Tough decisions ahead for Palm":

I'm afraid you painted too rosy a picture for iPaq-like systems. I hardly imagine that PDAs would replace notebooks and even desktop computers by 2003-2004.

If you get a keyboard and a mouse, you lose the PDA's size and weight. You lose mobility--the only advantage the PDA has over notebooks (did I say Vaio?).
