Fancy getting snap happy but don't want to spend a small fortune on glass? Asda's got your back with the Kodak M200, a 10-megapixel shooter that will set you back the bargain-basement price of £25.

If 25 smackers seems low for a camera with that sort of pixel-count then well done, you're quite the crafty consumer. For that sort of price you can't expect the most elite piece of hardware, but it's pretty impressive to see a recognisable brand name with such a low price attached. Actually, it's kind of depressing.

For your money you'll get that 10-megapixel sensor, a 3x optical zoom and a 2.5-inch LCD round the back. It also uses Kodak's EasyShare software, which we're told makes batch uploading of images to Facebook or Flickr easier when you connect it up to a PC.

It's a very basic point and shoot, so don't expect anything in the way of manual controls, and it records video at only 640x480-pixel resolution, so you won't be the next James Cameron with it. We can't vouch for the quality of the pictures from this little chap either, but £25 isn't to be sneezed at, especially as it's currently being sold over at Currys for £60.

Its automatic mode and selectable scene modes, together with its credit-card size, might make it a good choice if you're planning on hitting the festivals this year -- it's certainly more palatable to drop a £25 snapper in a smelly moshpit than lose your £900 Canon 60D.

It's currently marked as 'out of stock' on the Asda site, but the company assures us the page just hasn't updated yet -- so keep checking back. You can find the same deal in-store too.

The Kodak M200 is the latest dirt-cheap offering from the supermarket, having last weekend offered a 40-inch 1080p TV for £250.
