You can tell from the product page for the Kodak EasyShare M1033 that there's not a whole lot going on with this camera. It's a 10-megapixel, ultracompact camera with a 3x optical zoom and a 3-inch LCD. And it comes in six colors: black, silver, pink, pewter, red, and dark gray.
So I guess it's a good thing, then, that it has above-average performance and picture quality for its budget class (it can be found for much less than $200). It's the kind of camera you can hand off to anyone regardless of skill and end up with decent pictures. Plus, the M1033 is small and light enough to keep handy in your back pocket.
About the only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the 720p HD video capabilities. The picture quality was there, just not the performance to back it up--especially without a tripod.
