Kodak delays 14-megapixel camera

Kodak has pushed back the release date for a professional-level camera expected to produce the highest resolution images of any digital camera to date. The DCS Pro 14n will capture images at resolution of 14 megapixels, compared with 5 to 6 megapixels offered by current high-end cameras.

Announced in September, the DCS Pro 14n was supposed to be available this month. But a notice posted on Kodak's Web site says camera buffs will have to wait until January. "This brief one-month extension will help Kodak ensure optimal customer satisfaction and 'out-of-the-box product performance,'" the company said.
