Software maker Ketera Technologies has raised $10 million in a second round of venture capital financing, the company said Thursday. Leading the round were Kleiner Perkins, Foundation Capital and American Express. American Express founded the Mountain View, Calif., company in 2000.

Ketera is an application service provider that develops, runs and maintains business applications for monthly or annual fees. It specializes in software for corporate purchasing departments, with applications designed to help assess, select and track suppliers. The company, formerly called MarketMile, renamed itself last year as it sought to reinvent itself as a software company rather than an online marketplace.
