Well, it's better than the offer from the adult entertainment site.
Ken Bone, the man who won last week's presidential debate despite the fact he's not running for president, has sold out.
"Everyone wants to know if I've decided... and I have. uberSELECT helps you ride in style like me, Bone tweeted on Thursday. " What he was promoting was Wednesday's launch of Uber's luxury car-share service in Bone's hometown of St. Louis. Uber noted in a blog post that Bone took the city's first ride with uberSELECT, which uses luxury cars like BMWs.
Bone, clad in a red sweater, went viral overnight after the undecided voter asked presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump about their energy policies. Since then he's fielded various offers, including adult entertainment site CamSoda's $100,000 offer for a "live hourlong broadcast."
We can't really blame Bone for profiting from his 15 minutes of fame. An Uber spokesperson said the company approached Bone this week to see if he'd be interested in partnering on the launch. They're providing him with free Uber rides instead of cash, but the spokesperson declined to specify the amount.
For now, excuse us while we enter "KENBONE" as our $20 promo code in the Uber app. (But only for new users!)
