Keep track of every goal of the World Cup with Samsung's Kick app

If you've been kept awake in cold sweats, worrying about your country's chances in the World Cup, then Samsung may have the app to further exacerbate your problem. It's called Kick and it's a tablet app, available now on the Google Play Store for Samsung's new Galaxy Tab S and other Samsung slates larger than 7.5 inches. It lets you keep track of every kick, tackle and save as they happen.

The app shows a huge amount of detail and is designed for you to play around with while watching the World Cup on your TV. It'll provide info on all upcoming matches for the competition, along with background info on each team (the last time they played, previous scores and so on) as well as key pre-match facts like who's playing for each side and the formations of the team.

The app will pull in match details in real time too, including who's been given a red or yellow card, who's scored, and stats such as shots on goal and possession. Samsung reckons that as you'll have the analysis updated in real time, you'll be more up-to-date than the on-screen analysis provided by TV channels. It also means you can take your tablet to the loo so you don't miss out on anything important. Just make sure you give it a good wipe afterwards.

It's not just about the World Cup -- Kick will provide the same data for the Barclays Premier League as well as European cup tournaments. You'll also find news articles and photo galleries about your chosen teams (you can add columns in the app to see updates for specific teams).

Kick is available now for Samsung tablets via Samsung Apps and Google Play for free, and will come pre-loaded on Samsung's brand new Galaxy Tab S tablets . The Tab S tablets come in both 8.4 and 10.5-inch sizes, both of which measure just 6.6mm thick.
