Keane inks deal with Canadian insurer
The IT consulting firm inks a five-year, multimillion-dollar application management outsourcing contract with a Toronto-based insurance company.
The agreement calls for Keane's Toronto branch operations to support The Dominion of Canada General Insurance's legacy systems, improve process performance, and plan for the retirement of the systems, which will allow the insurance firm to focus on new technology efforts.
The new contract extends Keane's current partnership with The Dominion, which consists of managing Year 2000 compliance activities for the insurance company's legacy systems.
For the application outsourcing engagement, Keane will apply its Applications Management Methodology, which incorporates project management efforts, performance metrics and process improvement procedures to ensure a smooth transition of maintenance and support activities from The Dominion to Keane.
