Borland Software on Tuesday released an update to its flagship Java development application, JBuilder, which is now integrated with associated programming tools the company acquired last year.

Borland said that JBuilder 9 Enterprise edition will include the company's OptimizeIT suite of testing tools. JBuilder will also be integrated with source code version control tools and modeling tools, including Borland's StarTeam version control application and Together modeling application. The linking to different development tools is part of Borland's strategy to deliver a suite that address different phases of the application development process, from initial design to testing.
