For a perverse Star Wars thrill, watch Jar Jar Binks battle a blender

Star Wars fandom's large contingent of Jar Jar Binks haters can cheer for a powerful blender as it takes on the alien's action figure.

You've probably already heard of "Will It Blend?" The YouTube show asks a single simple question and then follows through on finding the answer. The latest test subject from a video released Monday is Jar Jar Binks, the Star Wars prequels alien we love to dislike with the red-hot hate of a thousand suns.

If you need a refresher, Jar Jar Binks was a jarring, flippy-eared character that first appeared in "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" in 1999. Fans have been trying to scrub him out of the sci-fi franchise ever since (as with this Jar Jar-light version of the prequels).

"Will It Blend?" uses an insanely powerful Blendtec blender. It's all part of an ongoing marketing stunt to show off how strong the company's blenders are, with Blendtec founder Tom Dickson hosting the series.

The Jar Jar episode honors the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" worldwide theatrical debut in December. Jar Jar Binks is not expected to make an appearance in the new movie.

Dickson shoves a lanky Jar Jar action figure into the blender's "Jar Jar Jar" and presses what he describes as the "meesa gonna die" button. The results aren't pretty.

"Will It Blend?" has had a surprisingly long Internet shelf life since the first episode debuted way back in 2006. The show has also taken on a Sonim phone (which mostly survived) and an Apple Watch (which didn't). Most objects that wander into the blender meet gruesome fates.

Sure, most of us don't care for Jar Jar, but the blender treatment is pretty harsh. Harsh, but watchable.
