The Denver-based vendor announced today that it is teaming up with British software firm AFP Technology to add business forms to its product.
A version of AFP's product FormScape is being designed to work specifically with OneWorld, J.D. Edwards' client-server-based software that manages internal business operations and automates back office tasks in a corporation.
FormScape is an output management and electronic archiving system that allows users to print forms and other documents on standard printers. It allows users to print forms with Microsoft Window's fonts, barcodes, magnetic ink character recognition, graphics, and images. Also the system can be used to personalize the content and distribution of such documents as invoices, statements, and sales reports.
FormScape also understands workflow commands so that certain forms will be sent to designated departments and managers automatically for approval or just for notification. It can also be set up to send the forms to designated users in a variety of formats including fax, to networked printers, email, and to an intranet or extranet Web site.
