CNET.com.au is supporting the IT Fund for Kids, a national fundraising initiative that works to improve the quality of life for seriously ill and autistic children.

Every year, over 600,000 children are admitted to hospital, with many of them spending extended periods recuperating at home following hospital treatment. Often these children suffer from isolation and boredom and welcome the distraction of play as well as connection to other children, their families and the world beyond the confines of their ward or care facility.

The IT Fund for Kids recognises the important role of technology in fulfilling the needs of these children. The two beneficiaries exclusively supported by the IT Fund are the Starlight Children's Foundation and the Giant Steps School.

We are also running a fundraising Meego competition on our sister site, Builder AU. Full details on how to enter and prizes are here, but hurry as the competition closes on May 30.
