and Crossbeam Systems are expected to announce Tuesday they will collaborate to deliver ISS's intrusion prevention software (IPS) on Crossbeam's security switches. The partnership, which targets telecommunications carriers, is designed to take the IPS protection found on internal telecom networks and deploy it on external networks.

The ISS Proventia Network Intrusion Prevention System for Crossbeam will carry an estimated list price of $34,000 and is expected to become available to some customers in the coming weeks. The agreement is nonexclusive.
