Is this the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic?

If the pictures are to be believed it looks like Nokia plans to back up the success of the 5800 XpressMusic with a new music touchscreen, this time with more disco ball-like sparkly bits.

If the pictures are to be believed it looks like Nokia plans to back up the success of the 5800 XpressMusic with a new music touchscreen, this time with more disco ball-like sparkly bits.

A series of pictures posted on Chinese site PCOnline show a touchscreen featuring Nokia badging, a 3.5-inch display, a 3.5mm headphone jack and thinner body all-round. The pictures also show a camera on the rear of the phone, though there's no indication of the resolution in megapixels.

This, of course, could simply be a shanzhai — a Chinese mobile phone knock off that is made to look like the real deal — and without pictures showing the operating system on the screen it's hard to verify.

We loved the 5800 XpressMusic when we had a chance to review it recently and we look forward to seeing more phones featuring the S60 v.5 operating system, particularly with the Ovi app store launching sometime in May. If we had any complaints about the 5800 it would be about the screen size and thickness, and both seem to have been rectified in this mysterious new model.
