Our iPhone 7 dreams of wireless charging and 'waterproofing' could come true, rumor says

Splish-splash? The latest leak allegedly promises an iPhone you can take in the bath and then drop onto a charging pad, cable-free.

If the latest iPhone 7 rumors seem too good to be true, it's only because we've been wishing and hoping and praying for them for so long.

An alleged slide from an alleged presentation allegedly in Foxconn, Apple's iPhone manufacturing partner in China, shows specs for wireless charging and an IP68 rating for resistance to water and dust, according to BGR, citing Chinese site Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

If true, the move would highlight an iPhone that's at long last responding to some of the best features found in Android phones. Apple has a history of trailing rivals in introducing features such as NFC, which enables mobile payments, and even copy and paste, commenting each time that the company prefers to get things "right."

In addition to this latest crop of rumors, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are expected to have a 12-megapixel camera, a second speaker grille and no headphone jack. Check out all the scuttlebutt in our iPhone 7 rumor roundup.
