iPad gets discount, refunds available
Apple has dropped the price of the original iPad and confirmed that customers who have bought one in the last 14 days can request a refund for the difference in price.
Apple Australia has dropped the price of the original iPad and confirmed that customers who bought one in the last 14 days can request a refund for the difference in price.
Apple launched the new iPad 2 yesterday and while it has not revealed Australian pricing on the new device it has dropped the price on existing models by up to and over AU$200.
The iPad 2 is due to arrive on 25 March, but local Apple representatives are unable to confirm if the original iPad will continue to be sold after this date. The new pricing is marked below.
A local Apple representative pointed to the Apple website which states: "Should Apple permanently reduce its price on any Apple-branded product within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of purchase, you may request a refund of the difference between the price paid and the current selling price."
