Apple has two new tablets, and two new cover and case designs to go with them. But as you might expect, they're not cheap.

Apple has lifted the lid on new cases and covers for its two spangly new iPads -- the iPad Air and new iPad mini with Retina display.

Specifically, there's a new magnetic Smart Cover for both models, and a Smart Case, which wraps around the tablet to protect it in the eventuality that you drop it, or hurl it against a wall in frustration. Both options are pretty pricey.

New Smart Cover

The latest Smart Cover costs £35, and comes in blue, green, pink, yellow, black and red. That's the same price for both the big and small iPads.

New Smart Case

To ensconce your precious tablet in one of Apple's new leather Smart Cases is a little more complex, as there are different prices for each model.

The Smart Case for the iPad Air costs £65, while the iPad mini with Retina display version will set you back £55. The new Smart Cases come in yellow, blue, brown, black, red and, er, beige. Sounds lovely.
