Intuit launches brokerage service

Intuit, along with Muriel Siebert, has recently launched a brokerage service. The finance software company and brokerage firm will charge $24.95 per online equity trade and will require a $2,000 minimum opening balance.

Quicken Brokerage allows people to see the potential tax implications of a trade before it is made. Trades will also be possible from within Intuit's Quicken 2003 Premier or Deluxe software packages; users will be able to download trade data directly into those applications.
