Intertrust signs DRM deal with Vodafone

Phone giant Vodafone has licensed digital rights management technology directly from Intertrust, a U.S.-based company whose technology is part of the Open Mobile Alliance's DRM standard.
The deal allows Vodafone to use Intertrust content-protection technology around the world for its music and other media services. However, the phone carrier still will have to license other components of the OMA rights management system from their respective owners or from a third party that is managing the licenses as a pool.
