IntelliSpace promotes exec to CEO

Start-up telecommunications service provider IntelliSpace has promoted its chief operating officer to president and chief executive. Jeff Allen replaces former chief executive Marc Josephson, who will remain IntelliSpace's chairman. IntelliSpace, which competes against Yipes Communications, Telseon and other start-ups, uses gigabit-speed Ethernet and optical technology to provide high-speed Internet access and private networks to businesses at prices cheaper than what traditional phone companies can offer.
