Intel names new CTO

Justin Rattner will become the chipmaker's chief technology officer, and Eric Kim is named chief marketing officer.

Intel has named Justin Rattner to serve as its chief technology officer, the company said Thursday. Rattner, who has been with the company since 1973, had been serving as a senior fellow and director of the corporate technology group.

Also Thursday, Intel announced that Eric Kim, senior vice president and general manager of the sales and marketing group, will become chief marketing officer.
