Individual buys Delphi unit

The Net content provider will add Delphi linking technology to its news service.

Net content provider Individual (INDV) has acquired CompanyLink, a subsidiary of Delphi Internet Services.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CompanyLink is a technology that links business users to a variety of information sources on companies. Individual, headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, said it plans to incorporate the linking technology into its NewsPage daily news service.

Delphi, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, said the sale of CompanyLink will allow the privately owned firm to focus on management of Internet chat rooms and forums.
