Indian software leader dies

Dewang Mehta, head of Indian software trade group the National Association of Software and Service Companies, was found dead of a heart attack Friday in his Sydney, Australia, hotel room. He was there as part of a delegation of government and industry figures promoting India's information technology industry. The 38-year-old Mehta was considered a leading spokesman for India's $4 billion dollar computer software and services industry, lobbying with Indian and foreign governments and campaigning against software piracy.
