IMLogic introduces messaging tool

IMLogic, a provider of instant messaging software for corporations, said Monday that it has developed a new technology that lets companies better manage, protect and archive real-time messages. The Boston-based company introduced IM Manager, technology that works with a corporate IM networks such as those from Microsoft, America Online and Yahoo, to secure and record communications coming in and out of businesses. The software helps companies control and secure IM screen names across multiple networks, and it can be used to block file transfers sent through those public networks. The technology complements IMLogic's first product, introduced last year, a tool used by financial services firms to help log instant messages in compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.
