Ikonic, a company in the business of building other people's Web sites, announces that it has decided to put its proprietary Ringmaster Web publishing system on the market.
With Ringmaster, the publishing process starts when an author submits a file to a folder. The appropriate editors are immediately notified and can view the new submission regardless of the format. The decision to either accept, reject, or send the document back to the author for revision is noted by the system.
Ringmaster tracks not only submissions, revisions, and postings in a file's history but also the people involved in its creation. A visual map gives an overview of the entire Web site, including HTML links, embedded objects, and modifications in content. When a page is moved, Ringmaster automatically updates links.
Ringmaster will be available in October in three versions: Ringmaster Trio for 3 users, $299; Ringmaster Web Team for 12 users, $999; and Ringmaster Web Team Plus, which includes onsite consulting services, for 12 users, $2,999. Additional seat licenses for all versions are $99 per user. Ringmaster will support Solaris 2.5, Windows 95 and NT, and Mac OS 7.1.
