IBM joins with business software seller

IBM has signed a partnership to sell its iSeries special-purpose servers in conjunction with Intentia's software for linking companies with suppliers and other business partners. The bundle includes an i270 server and Intentia Movex eBusiness 4.1 software running atop IBM's WebSphere software. IBM has strengthened a push to sell medium-sized businesses the iSeries line, formerly known as AS/400, which tightly couples the server with programs specific to various tasks. Last month, the company released a version of the server with WebSphere pre-installed.
