IBM announced new NetVista A60 PCs with enhanced multimedia features and lower prices. The A60 and A60I systems feature Pentium 4 processor running at speeds of 1.3GHz, 1.4GHz and 1.5GHz and include IEEE 1394 ports and combination CD-RW/DVD drives. Prices start at $1,449.

Dell also announced new Pentium 4-based systems for business users. The OptiPlex GX400 comes with a 1.3GHz or 1.4GHz processor and includes Dell's LegacySelect Technology Control, which allows IT managers to enable or disable any combination of parallel, serial ports and floppy drives. Prices start at $1,299.
