Business-to-business e-commerce software maker i2 Technologies said it is teaming with collaborative software maker UGS to integrate the two companies' software to create a collaborative product development offering. The combined technologies will link product development and strategic sourcing services and create a collaborative system for suppliers and partners, i2 said in a statement. The goal of the agreement is to drive down the costs for developing, sourcing, manufacturing and servicing products, while speeding the time to market, the company said.
