i2 completes RightWorks takeover
i2 Technologies has completed its acquisition of RightWorks, furthering the software company's push to include collaborative e-commerce technology in its product portfolio. Under the terms of the agreement, a total of 5.35 million shares of i2's common stock, worth about $34.5 million, was exchanged for all of the outstanding capital stock of RightWorks, as well as the company's debt owed to investors. The deal had an estimated worth of about $114 million when it was announced in March. With RightWorks, i2 will provide software that allows companies and business-to-business marketplaces to manage spending across purchasing partners, Dallas-based i2 said on Wednesday. RightWorks software will be added to i2's Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) product line.
