In keeping up with Netflix and Amazon, Hulu has just made a big investment in kids programing.
The company on Thursday announced a content licensing agreement with The Disney-ABC Television Group. The deal will bring more than 500 episodes and more than 20 original movie titles from Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD to the Hulu Kids library.
As part of the deal, according to a Hulu blog post, "Hulu will be the exclusive streaming home to a total of seven programs, including all past episodes of the Disney Channel's hit spy comedy "K.C. Undercover" starring Zendaya," as well as Disney XD animated series "Gravity Falls" and "Star vs. The Forces of Evil." Hulu is also getting all episodes of former Disney Channel series "Dog With A Blog" and "Austin & Ally," and a catalog of programming from Disney Junior, including "Sheriff Callie's Wild West" and "Henry Hugglemonster."
Hulu says it currently has 12 million subscribers and offers two tiers of service, $7.99 per month with light commercials or $11.99 per month commercials free.
