Smart phones ain't so pricey these days -- Huawei has lifted the lid on two new mobiles that are unlikely to break the bank, as well as a spangly new Android tablet.

The Huawei Ascend Y210 is the cheapest of the lot, with a starting price on TalkTalk of £5 per month. For that you get a 3.5-inch display, 2-megapixel camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with everything powered by a 1GHz processor.

Those are pretty weedy specs, but using less potent components is how Huawei has kept the price down. The £5 per month tariff gets you 100 minutes, 250 texts and 200MB of data (when you buy online), so this could be a decent choice if you're looking for your first, affordable smart phone, or if you want to buy a cheap second phone.

Ascend G510

The Y210 is out today, while the slightly fancier G510 (shown above) hits TalkTalk on 4 June, and will start at £10 per month. That gets you a 4.5-inch display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is a more recent version of Google's mobile operating system and will have some extra features.

Huawei has layered its own 'Emotion UI' over the top, which the Chinese manufacturer boasts "offers a wide choice of themes", among other treats.

The MediaPad 7 Lite meanwhile is a 7-inch tablet, has a 3.2-megapixel camera and also runs Android. You can get it bundled with other smart phones on TalkTalk, including the Ascend Y210 -- a glorious union that starts at £15 per month, or starting at £20 per month when bundled with the Ascend G510.
