HTC has put the name Supreme up for protection in Europe, Pocketnow reports, hinting the flagship quad-core beast could have a name change before release. It wouldn't be the first time: codenames of HTC phones often leak, with the resultant handsets touching down under different guises.
There's no shortage of other HTC devices that Supreme could refer to, of course. It could be thetablet, but considering that'll also be quad-core, according to reports, that name seems to fit. Or it could be the , the handset with Beats audio tech, but we think HTC would save a name like Supreme for a flagship device. And Europe's first quad-core handset would certainly be that.
As well as an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, with a quite ridiculous four 1.5GHz cores, we're expecting a 4.7-inch screen that's 720p HD resolution. Inside, 1GB of RAM is looking likely, and on the back should be an 8-megapixel camera with a 28mm, f/2.2 lens.
