HTC One Max phablet specs leak

Ahead of its expected unveiling next week, an image has appeared on Twitter listing the full specs for the HTC One Max.

We can add HTC to the list of companies that does a terrible job of keeping its devices under wraps. The HTC One Max phablet, due to be announced next week, has had a flurry of leaks, including a picture of the phone in the wild and details about its fingerprint scanner.

Now the full specs have allegedly spilled, courtesy of French news website Nowhere Else editor Steve Hemmerstoffer. He tweeted what appears to be a screenshot of the phone's specs sheet.

The phone, according to the image, will have a 5.9-inch HD display, with a resolution of 1920x1080p. Packed inside will be a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, memory ranging between 16GB and 64GB and further expandable memory via microSD up to 32GB. The device will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and be fitted with HTC Sense 5.5.

Its physical specs look a little more iffy: 144.5x70.5x10.6mm and 130g — a little odd, given the current 4.7-inch HTC One weighs 143 grams. This is also contradicted by a Chinese TENAA certification filing, which lists its size at 164.5x82.5×10.29mm and 217g — a much more realistic series of measurements.

The One Max will be the first phablet-sized offering for the company, which has been trailing behind Apple and Samsung. It will join the company's One line-up in an attempt to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note.

HTC has declined to comment on any of the leaks to date.
