The next generation of the HTC One has purportedly popped up online through a new video that takes us on a hands-on tour.

Posted Monday on YouTube, the convincing but unconfirmed video shows someone taking the new HTC One through its paces. We see an unidentified user point out the various components of the phone, navigate its screens, and try out its features. The poster of the video, a YouTube account named VidxHD, said only that the footage surfaced in Germany.

HTC is expected to show off the new HTC One, codenamed M8, on Tuesday. The company naturally has been mum on any details, triggering a variety of recent reports and rumors. Known leaker @evleaks says the new phone will retail for $600 off contract, while blog site HTC Source claims it will go on sale immediately following the launch and be exclusive to Verizon for the following two weeks.

CNET will cover Tuesday's HTC event in New York City through a live blog starting at 8 a.m. PT.
