More and more signs are pointing to the HTC Evo Shift 4G's imminent release. The Android-based smartphone has already received FCC approval, then there was the Radio Shack advert, and now Wal-Mart has gone ahead an published a full product page on its Web site.

The page provides numerous images (see below) and a full list of specs, though it looks like it needs a bit of editing since it notes both a 3.7-inch display and 4.3-inch screen. Based on Wal-Mart's information, the Sprint-bound Epic Shift 4G will run Android 2.2 and feature an 8-megapixel camera, WiMax, and 1GB of internal memory with an 8GB microSD card preinstalled.

Pricing and availability date were not published by Wal-Mart, but Radio Shack's ad listed the phone as being available on January 9 for $149.99.

We're sure all the official details will come out at CES 2011, where HTC is planning to show off some other smartphone goodness. (Source: Engadget Mobile)

Update, January 4 at 6:02 a.m. PT: Sprint has made it official: The HTC EVO Shift will be available January 9, priced at $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and with activation of a new two-year service agreement (or eligible upgrade), as well as activation of a data plan with the required $10 Premium Data Add-On.

The 4G-capable device comes with Android 2., a 5-magapixel camera, 720p HD camcorder, and 3.6-inch capacitive touch screen display.

Sprint also unveiled Novatel Wireless' MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot, which it says has battery life of up to four hours of usage and 60 hours of standby time. The MiFi device, due Feb. 27, is priced at $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and activation of a two-year service agreement.
