HP's 2310e: More than the sum of its parts

The HP 2310e doesn't do anything special. It just does what it does really well.

Glossy, dark and glossy. Josh P. Miller/CNET

Last week I reviewed the Dell ST2420L, an LED monitor with a thin profile and three different connection options. That monitor earned three stars (6.0) overall. The 2310e is also an LED monitor with a thin profile and three different connection options.

Though of course our reviews don't simply boil down to connection options, backlight type, and thinness, it's interesting that two monitors with such similar (on paper) features could elicit such different reactions.

While three stars definitely isn't a bad score, the ST2420L definitely could have been better. The HP 2310e outclasses it in nearly every way and serves as a testament to good, sensible design. Check out the review to see how high it scored and why.

Also, the monitor hub is waiting for you with your monitor extras.
